Xeer

He is as feared and he is respected and some say it is no longer "appropriate" to have an elvan wizard as the city's arch mage while the political relationship between Garidan and Woodhome, the elvan capitol, is so tense.

The two cities are nearly at war and many fear Xeer will betray them if the elves were ever to seriously attack the city.

There are those who see Garidan not as the home of the humans, but as the home to all who would call it home. Many races live in the thriving city and all residents are defenders of Garidan.

Xeer is quiet on the subject.

But he reminds questioners, with strained politeness, that his post is an appointed position by the Mayor. While it is mandated that the Mayor have no magical abilities, he is granted, but the people, complete immunity to all magical influences and so he is in the best position to make such an appointment.
